Tournament Management Software (use BACK button to return to previous page) To: All US Ski Jumping Clubs Former US Olympic jumper Dave Norby has created a slick software program for managing all aspects of a ski jumping tournament, from registration through results. This program is available for download from the following link: Download Ski Jumping Software (latest revision released Dec 11, 2006) If you should encounter difficulty in downloading from this site, you can request that it be e-mailed to you; it's just under 1 megabyte. Contact either Dave and webmaster via links further down this page. This executable program auto-installs itself, to make things as convenient as possible. Just save it to a convenient location, then use the "Run" command (from Start button) to install it. After installing the program you can print or view a PDF manual on program operation. The document is installed in the same folder as the program, and it's called "Manual.pdf". This program handles everything from setup to registration, entry lists, first round and complete results. We encourage you to try it; we think you'll find it very easy to use. For those clubs wishing to post results on their websites, or to transmit them in electronic format, SkiJumpingCentral recommends a very useful PDF generator, called PDF995. It installs as a PRINTER, not as a program, and it's FREE. When you choose PDF995 as your printer, you'll be prompted to tell it where you want to save it, and what you want to call it. You can find out more about it at www.pdf995.com. There are some ads which appear when you use it ... for ten bucks, you can upgrade to a version that has no ads. Easy to install, useful for a lot of things beyond publishing tournament results! If you have questions related to PDF995, you'll need to contact webmaster@skijumpingcentral.com. Special offer to Central Clubs ONLY: After your results are compiled, they can be sent to Dave at the address below. The results are in a file called DATA.SKI located in the folder where the software is installed. Dave will create the pdf file of your results and email the pdf back to you. The pdf file can then be distributed to newspapers, other clubs, etc., and you can e-mail it back to SkiJumpingCentral.com for posting on the website. We encourage Central clubs to use PDF995 ... it will relieve Dave of this task, and you'll be able to send 'em to the webmaster for posting the night of the tournament!
